1997 Laserline GmbH was founded by Dr. Christoph Ullmann and Volker Krause in the Technology Center of Koblenz, Germany. The company and its products were introduced the first time at the 1997 LASER World of Photonics in Munich.
At the nationwide start-up competition sponsored by McKinsey, the STERN and the savings bank, Laserline achieves state champion and 3rd national winner and receives by President Roman Herzog the award.
For the new building at the site Mülheim Kärlich the groundbreaking ceremony takes place with a large number of representatives of the municipality and the city.
Laserline moves with 35 employees from the Technology Center of Koblenz to their own premises with 2.500 m² to Mülheim Kärlich. On 11/14/2002 a big inauguration event held with 200 guests, also the Prime Minister of Rhineland-Palatinate, Kurt Beck, is welcomed as an honored guest.
Laserline opened its first branch in Silicon Valley / USA in the wake of the growing business abroad. The company headquarters in Mülheim Kärlich expands to 4.300 m² with a new production hall.

In late 2011 Laserline opens three new offices in Asia: Shanghai / China, Seoul / Korea, Tokyo / Japan. More than 110 employees worldwide work at Laserline.
The company is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 and the quality management system is implemented throughout the company.
The company receives the Corporate Prize of the savings bank.
Laserline continues to grow. The construction of a new production hall and a new office building expands the total area of the headquarters now to 7.400 m².
At the end of the year, more than 165 employees work for company Laserline.
A new sales office opens in Detroit in the building of Fraunhofer USA at 01st April 2014. Nearly 200 employees work for Laserline at headquarters in Germany at the beginning of October 2014.
